Would love to make this scarf wider

But I cant figure the stitch multiple(not included in pattern). Pattern says to cast on 31 so I know its going to be a number + extra. Can someone please help me figure it out. I counted 15 sts but 31/15= 2 and a remainder.

Row 1: SL1P, K2, (P2, K2) 3 times, P1, (K2, P2) 3 times, K3

Row 2: SL1P, K1, (P2, K2) 3 times, P3, (K2, P2) 3 times, K2

I get 31. Do you have a link?

The simpleat increase is in the (P2, K2) and (K2, P2) sections. I would increase by multiples of 8 sts by increasing those repeats as many times as you would like for the width you want. For example:
Row 1: SL1P, K2, (P2, K2) 4 times, P1, (K2, P2) 4 times, K3

Row 2: SL1P, K1, (P2, K2) 4 times, P3, (K2, P2) 4 times, K2

Thanks, but what i meant was that I want to cast on more than just 31 without twitching the pattern. Im trying to make my scarf wider 'cause i’m working with a yarn weight thats less bulkier than the pattern requested.

Here’s the pattern on Ravelry for anyone who’s helping-

I was thinking after seeing it that it would pretty easy to double the V section. Like this -

Row 1: SL1P, K2, (P2, K2) 3 times, P1, (K2, P2) 3 times, P1 (P2, K2) 3 times, P1, (K2, P2) 3 times K3

Well… now I’m not sure how many you’d cast on and if this would work with the second row. Need to think on this…

Yep, I think Jan’s got it - Repeat after the p1 as many times as you need, end with a k3. Row 2 would be repeated after the p3 and end with the k2.
