Works in Progress: Dishcloths

Hey all, my wife wanted to learn how to knit, and after getting the basics down she wanted to learn how to increase and decrease, so I’m teaching her how to do so, so we both cast on and are knitting a couple of dishcloths. I’m a bit farther in mine, but from what I can see, she’s progressing pretty well, mine’s on the left, hers is on the right. Comments are always welcome.

Excellent teacher and very apt pupil. The knitting is very nice and even and the increases look good, too. Good project and great colors to work with.

Love the colors! I just made a few dishcloths for my mom using that same pattern…

They look great and cheerful colors for the kitchen! Good job both of you.

Very nice, both of them.

“I’m teaching my wife to knit” that’s not something you hear everyday lol! Both dishcloths look great, well done you for teaching her. :yay:

well thank you, she wanted to learn, since my SIL also was learning, now if I can steer them both here, they can get their questions answered whenever I’m not around

Great job, on both counts! I love handmade dishcloths…can never have too many, and they make great gifts.

Wonderful that both of you can share a pastime! Great job both of you!

Looking great, Rorsach! And what a role reversal! Husband teaching wife to knit! Love the mental picture of it!

 yup, next thing you know, she’ll be drinking beer and watching football, and I’ll be having kids and cleaning house :roflhard:

That is just so sweet  How nice that you two will be able to share this pastime.

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

I’m a beginner! I’m trying to knit the dishcloth “Window to my heart.” The instructions say to Knit four rows, fifth row to Knit four, purl six and so forth. I get that row done and when I try to do the next row my stitches are all twisted and wrapped around each other, making it impossible to do the next row. I’ve started over six times and it’s the same every time! Can anyone help me? I would sooooo appreciate it!

Thanks!

Barbara
