At the school where I am the crossing guard, I see the head custodian every day when he unlocks the car riders gate. He is retiring at the end of this year, so I am knitting him a hat and gloves set as a retirement gift… the hat is being made out of Knit Picks Swish in Black and the gloves will be made from the Knit Picks Stroll Fingering Weight yarn in the color Black. . I am doing this because he gave me a key to the lock and chain on the gate where my crossing area is. That way if he was not there for any reason I would be able to unlock the gate for the kids that walk to school.
What a thoughtful gift! Good luck with it and be sure to let us have a look when you finish.
hat will brighten up a dreary day! Nicely done!
That’s so nice of you! Isn’t it fun to knit stuff for other people? Can’t wait to see pictures.
So kind of you to make him such useful gifts! I’m sure he will love wearing them.
You’re wonderful to do this. I’m sure they’ll be much appreciated and used. Pictures, please. We want WIP pictures.
