WIP: Tubey

Okay here is the first sleeve! Yay! My colors are asparagrass, cinnamon (brown), moss (dk. green), and RHUBARB (pink–i love it) merino style.

The first pic looks like there’s a jog in the brown/green… well there WAS one, but I fixed it with duplicate stitch and now it looks better.

Instead of knitting in the round, I turned it inide out and purled int he round, because (for me) purrlingis faster and I have to move my hands less. In the st st park, where it is flat, I can see more stitch inconsistancies, but once the round part started and I was always purling, that didn’t happen anymore.

Stanley decided I should take pictures of him instead, so there’s one of him posing on my sleeve and then one of him singing a lil kitty song about my tubey

Very pretty! I love the colors. love Stanley, too!

OMG! That last one of the cat is priceless! Is he just asking for attention? Oh and the sweater is pretty, too!

 STANLEY!!!

Now, REALLY…is he singing, or just yawning? I’ve heard your cats sing on the phone, but Ididnt know they made FACES! :roflhard:

Your sleeve is SLEEVALICIOUS!! :cheering:

Nice tubey sleeve, is the pussycat singing or laughing? Gorgeous photo.

The sleeve looks wonderful! Honestly, that cat really does resemble an opera singer! :roflhard:

AWESOME!

(And I’m impressed that you purl faster than you knit. )

Very nice!

Stanley is PRECIOUS!!! LOVE the singing/laughing/yawning! LOL

Love your colors!!! The pink is fabulous because it makes it so funky! And your kitty couldn’t be cuter!

Those colors look great!

I love your color combinations!! The Stanley picture is great!!! :rofling:

thank you thank you!!!

I wasn’t going to use the pink; I had picked out “honey” which is a pale but warm yellow… I wax going for “organic”. But I didn’t think it popped enough. then I saw the pink in my stash accidently laying next to my color for the tubey, and I was like “hmmm… red and green are complementary colors… so would pink and light green work???” I like how it looks now, kind of like the leaves and the dirt and the flowers. I was debating on whether or not to add stripes to the body, now, b/c I do have a lot of yarn left… but I think that the pink would then draw attention to areas I’d rather keep… subtle

Stanley IS yawning, but I thought he looked like he was singing because of how his head is angled up… and his eyes are totally close (usually he just bugs them out when he yawns) so it looks like he’s smiling. He’s happy because my tubey is so pretty.

Something is seriously wrong when you start taking accidental pictures of your cats and then analyzing their emotions.

I love your color conbination!

I was wondering what Stanley was laughing at. :roflhard:

I love all of the pictures you took to show your work! Great knitting, I mean purling! I didn’t know that you could do that, I will have to try that sometime. Love your cat pictures!

  the colors! I have a Stanley too (he’s my DH!).

Nice job Hildie! And I am amazed that you’re able to capture a yawn on camera!!
