WIP THorpe hat

Here is the pattern http://throughtheloops.typepad.com/through_the_loops/2007/12/working-hats.html

My mum bought this yarn at a craft fair in the adirondacks and sent it to me. So now I’m making a hat for her with it. I have no idea what it is made of or how many yards or weight or anything. She just said she got it at a craft fair in the adirondacks. It is mostl likely some kind of handspun, worsted weight wool.

THis is what it looked like when I got it

It’s going to be beautiful! :inlove:

Looks like lovely yarn, what a nice mum. She will love the hat.

Pretty yarn! Your hat is going to look lovely!

Wow, wish someone would send me some really cool yarn like that.

What a nice Mom you have!

Looks lovely

Cool, I look forward to seeing it finished.

I just LOVES IT! Very classy looking! Can hardly wait to see the end results! Thanks for sharing the nice photos!

OK I got down to the ear flaps, tried it on and it covered my eyes almost past my nose. it is WAAAAAY too huge. I was gonna frog halfway but I kinda got into the whole froggin thing during a movie (Charlie Wilson’s war. It was pretty good) and I just frogged the whole thing. Oh well, I guess I gotta change needle size. I should go up right?

I saw that movie, it was pretty good! You frogged the WHOLE thing?:roflhard: You must have been very intent on watching the movie! Oh well, it was probably for the best (even though it was looking beautiful), yep I would go up in needle size.
Take another picture when you get going!!
