WIP: The Weekender Cap

I found this cap in The Knitter’s Bible: Knitted Accessories and it looked so comfy I had to try it! I’m knitting it out of cascade yarns (Quatro; peruvian wool) and it’s coming out beautifully! Using size 5 and 7 needles and it knits up rather quickly.

Here is a pic I found of it on the net. I will post pic of my FO when I’m done!

:happydance: I can’t wait to see yours!

Here it is! I knit this in a day and a half. It’s real cute on!

yay!! well done. that looks great. I bet it will be realy snuggly when colder weather comes!

how cute is that?

Looks great!

It looks darling on you!

Bambi

It does look very cute on you. I want to make one for my DGD. It reminds me of the ‘Carnaby Street’ look of the '70’s.

What did you use to stiffen the brim, if anything? It looks great on you!

That’s adorable!

I actually didn’t use anything to stiffen the brim! The top of the brim is picked up along the front, and the bottom piece is made seperately and then sewed on to the top brim and hat. Its not so stiff it’s uncomfortable, but it doesnt flop around either. I love it! I’m going to make a basic stockinette stitch scarf to match.

Oooohhh. I love it! I feel another hat-attack coming on! I gotta find this pattern!
