Since I didnt have markers to use(I got the wrong ones the other day at the store) I used my earrings…

That’s very pretty! Looks like you need circular needles for it though as it barely fits on the straights!
Yes… I was so impatient to start it that I had to use the ones I have… Im going to the store today…
Cute, and very creative use of your earrings I once used a pencil as a stitch holder…hey, it worked!
REALLY pretty!
And, yes, we knitters are an inventive improvisational (desperate) bunch!
That’s so pretty!!
The yarn looks very soft and cozy. What type is it?
I have knit that blanket. It is so cute. I am debating which one I want to do out of the book for the next one. I am thinking Hush A Bye or Whisper Soft. It is a great pattern book.
Robin
It is Lion Brand, “Pound of Love”, super soft 4ply, worsted weight. I used two strands.
I love how it is turning out… I was arguing with myself because I like Hush-a-bye and this one before I started, but being that I didnt have two colors to combine, I thought this one would look better. But that is the next one Im making…
Maybe we can Knit along Robin…
It is my first time wrapping stitches and making short rows, Im really excited!!!.. Ill be full of questions once I get there though…
I just got that book too! I love that pattern!
Great improvising too!(w/the earrings)
I’m loving that! I can’t wait to see it finished!
I’ve used all kinds of weird things for stitch markers…I even twice used a paper clip for a tapestry needle.
Cute!! I’ll have to check out that book–I have several friend having babies so I’d love to be able to make some afghans.
Cristy,
Those are quick knits too. It is great because they go REALLY fast.

That’s a nifty blanket pattern. What size needle are you using?
I make tiny loops with scrap yarn for markers. They’re easier for me to slip.
Im using 11US - 8mm, I just switched it to circular needles today, it is a lot easier!! Cant wait to have it done!! :XX: :XX: :XX:

Oh yeah, now you’ll want to make everything seamless and use them for everything! :cheering:
Seamless!!! I love things that are seeamless!!!
I have sooo much to learn… I wish I had started knitting again sooo long ago…
Finished!!!
Looks WONDERFUL!!! :cheering:
