Yesterday I started my first baby afghan… The pattern is from Evelyn A. Clark from this bookQuick Knit Baby Afghans…

Since I didnt have markers to use(I got the wrong ones the other day at the store) I used my earrings… :blush:

That’s very pretty! Looks like you need circular needles for it though as it barely fits on the straights!

The yarn looks very soft and cozy. What type is it?

I have knit that blanket. It is so cute. I am debating which one I want to do out of the book for the next one. I am thinking Hush A Bye or Whisper Soft. It is a great pattern book.

It is Lion Brand, “Pound of Love”, super soft 4ply, worsted weight. I used two strands.

I love how it is turning out… I was arguing with myself because I like Hush-a-bye and this one before I started, but being that I didnt have two colors to combine, I thought this one would look better. But that is the next one Im making… :slight_smile:

Maybe we can Knit along Robin…

It is my first time wrapping stitches and making short rows, Im really excited!!!.. Ill be full of questions once I get there though… :rollseyes:

I’m loving that! I can’t wait to see it finished!
I’ve used all kinds of weird things for stitch markers…I even twice used a paper clip for a tapestry needle. :smiley:

Cute!! I’ll have to check out that book–I have several friend having babies so I’d love to be able to make some afghans.

I make tiny loops with scrap yarn for markers. They’re easier for me to slip.[/color]
