WIP Ribbed baby Jacket :-)

Hey y’all! Long time no speak. Y’all will be pleased to read that I am 80% into the jacket yay me! I am at the point of knitting the ribbed part of the jacket and am pleased I managed to successfully pick up and knit stitches without making more of a mess. Go, me! Sadly though it’s not ready for today’s shower. I made a big mistake earlier in the week which caused me to frog half my work so couldn’t meet deadline which was…yesterday boooo. Oh well. Thankfully the recipient is my sister so hopefully she won’t care. I’ll show you a pic soon

Anyhoo…I’m thinking of applying an I-cord loop for like, the button. Can someone please tell me how I do this? Do I do it at BO point and how many st for I-cord you think? Thank you

Good for you! An I-cord loop is a good idea for the buttonloop. I would do it separately and sew the loop onto the sweater rather than make it part of the bind off. It seems to me that it’ll be more secure that way and not tug at the bind off. Try a 2 or 3 stitch I-cord on some scrap yarn and see which suits the size of the sweater.

You go, girl!

Oh, that jacket is just adorable! :inlove: I look forward to photos of the FO.

Congratulations on the progress!!!

Seaming side and sleeves now

That’s a lovely little jacket, what are you going to use for the button/fastening?

I would sew the loop inside the placket of the sweater instead of on top of it. I think it would work and doing is separately is a much better idea and a whole lot easier.

Yay! Keep on keepin’ on! We’re cheering for you!
