WIP-Quickie Baby Sweater

Not as quick as I would like :roflhard: Life with kids.

Anyway, I picked up a stitch instead of knitting the stitch in row 9. I hope it didn’t make the yoke way too big.

“Life with kids”… So true!!
Anyway, looks great so far! What yarn are you using?

That’s going to be so pretty!

It’s looking great so far! I wonder how life with kids are when you’re a knitter. I bet you have to hide in a corner or lock yourself in a room for a couple of hours to get in some knitting time…hehe. :XX:

Very nice!

I read once about a lady who knits with a house full of kids. She holds up her leg when she is counting - and they have learned to not ask her anything when they see the leg go up.

It’s looking great!! I know what you mean about knitting with kids!! Even the simplest things seem to take forever. I end up staying up WAY to late at night to get in my knitting time!!

Amber, I have to practically write a check off system for each row, so I can just pick it up and know where I am. I hate having to check off after each row, but its worth it. Yeah, I’ve had too many sickies, so Ive been missing my late night knit-a-thons.

Carolina red, That is hilarious about her leg system! My dh finally figured it out. My kids will sit and wait, my three year old will put her hand on my knee. heh

Knit a holic, Huh, I’ve only knitted with kids I cant imagine how it would be without them. I knit in the car when DH is driving, I knit at church (yes I do, not every week, but often), and every Wednesday afternoon the house shuts down and I knit. So my girlfriends know they are welcome to come and goof off. heh. And yeah, sometimes I do have to sneak some time in here and there.

Kayeknit, It’s Bernats Cotton Tots, Sweet Dreams. I love the colors in it. Every baby gift Ive made for the last two years has been out of this color, heh. And there are many (30 or so) of it in the closet to make more baby stuff. :XX:

I finished the arm, and I got to put on the other arm tonight! This may be a baby sweater by the end of the weekend and not just an odd shaped rag! HA! Go me, go me.

Candace

I personally think it’s just as hard to knit/crochet having a DH or a dog around! (O: Seems everytime I am counting or concentrating on those stitches…well, I either get asked a question or someone needs to go out AGAIN!

BTW…I sent you a PM on what area of Texas I am from…not sure you received it. I am up in the bedroom in the 5th. wheel right now…looking out the window at a couple new inches of “white stuff” on the ground. Enough already!! So ready to head south!

My newest project is a very simple baby hat done on DPN’s!! And they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. I am going to master these five “sticks”, if it kills me.

I’ve added my Email address to my profile…so, if you want…give me a shout! Attach warm air…OK?

Sandy up in CO. and it’s snowing again!

That is such a lovely pattern, is it online? If not, can you tell me the book/booklet and company who puts it out so I can look for it?

Hi Cozy,

There have been about three finished ones posted in the last few days. Melissa has done a light yellow and a white one. And is planning her third! And ecuzzacrea finished a beautiful varigated.

I want to make two more as well.

Happy :XX: . Welcome to KH!
