I felt the exact same jubilation when I learned two circs for small diameter. I was so excited! I kept thanking, and still thank, the woman who showed me!

Wait… you don’t use DPNs? I figured since you have done it for so long that they’d be second nature. I had a hard time with them and have used two circs on hat tops and love it!

Its easier to get used to DPNs if you start with a project that uses bigger ones…like at least sz 9. :thumbsup:

I’m not against using dpns, and I use them for really small stuff–the two circs is just too much fussing around for alpaca purse legs, for example, but it’s perfect for the bottom part of adult sleeves, or kids’ sleeves. This way I don’t have to lift the entire sweater to go around–I can flip the sleeve back and forth. Plus my circs are way easier to find. :wink:

This is VERY true. I had much much better luck with dpns on a size 8 than I had on a size 3. I still prefer magic loop.

Ingrid, I have watched Amy’s video…I just need to see someone knitting 2 socks on the ML…I think I understand it for a hat how Amy showed.

Even if my hands aren’t knitting, my mind is. I went to sleep thinking that I will eventually need to use DPNs to do the very top of the hat.
Am I right? :??

I’ve used 2 circs to finish the 2 hats that I’ve made and didn’t have any problem using them at the very top of the hat.
