I’ve got about 10 inches done so far, maybe a bit more. I really like how it’s coming on. I’m not even tired of the pattern yet, so I should be able to get quite a bit done
I started now, figuring by the time it gets really big, the weather will have cooled down enough to be comfy knitting with the bulk on my knees. I want it done for Christmas, but at this rate, it just might be done sooner.

I’d only done 2 projects with simple cables before this (the same sweater pattern made twice). I was ready to ‘overcome’ all this, but it turned out really simple. I have to often check what “2/2 RC” or “2/1 LC” is, but that’s pretty quick. I was surprised.

Beautiful! I’m looking for the ‘perfect’ yarn for an afghan to go with my new sofa. The old ones will not do at all at all! My DH doesn’t understand this, but then, he’s a guy, a guy that doesn’t knit.

The pattern is the Lover’s Knot Afghan from Lion Brand. I’m using the Fisherman’s Wool suggested in the pattern and it’s wonderful to work with.
