I found the pattern at Yarn-a-go-go (http://www.yarnagogo.com/good_ole_cabled_scarf) and it’s really turning out a lot better than I had hoped. This is my first full project with cables (besides a couple of samples I did messing around) and I love it so far. Some people like using cable needles, some don’t, but I love them. Far less confusing.
This is a gift for my boyfriend’s sister and is made out of Plymouth Yarn’s Suri Alpaca/Fine Merino Blend. It is sooooo soft. And while the yarn calls for size 7 needles, I didn’t have size 7 and used 8 instead and it looks fantastic. It is just the right width.
I am currently a little over half way finished and will post more pictures when that finally happens!
Hi Blueyezz
I have printed off the pattern, I love cables and teamed with moss stitch it looks wonderful. Definately on my list of things to do. Thank you x
That’s exactly what made me fall in love with it – I love moss stitch, but it’s so blah by itself and the cables with it looked great. Enjoy! It’s very easy!
