One more cable cross I think then bind off and add buttons.![]()

Jan, that’s beautiful! The pattern and the yarn work so well together. Usually I think cables and multicolors fight for dominance but you persuaded them to cooperate. Impressive.
You really do such lovely knitting, always.
Oh that’s so pretty! Hope your friend uploads it. I’ve never been able to get good cabling with anything other than solid colored worsted weight yarn. I do a lot of
Very, very nice, Jan. Love the pattern and the colors.
That is really gorgeous! Great colorway!
Jan:
That cable really pops out…beautiful yarn!

Does the cowl hang low or wrap the neck?
Judy
Beautiful cowl! The cable looks so good against the garter stitch edging. That’s a great combination of stitches and color.
Thanks everyone!
Here’s the pattern -
Normally I don’t do cables with multicolor yarns either. This one was a big enough cable and the yarn was darker shades I gambled and it worked out! I’m finished now except for buttons. DH is going to make me some so I’ll share the FO when I get them.
Judy, its a short cowl. I may make a longer one at some point, but wanted to do as the pattern was written first.
Awww, I was hoping it was going to be a free pattern, I’ll still get it one of these days. But right now I have three big projects going (one’s almost done) and two or three more planed. Can’t wait to see your FO.
Will those buttons be made out of wood? If so, have you figured out what species and shape?
It is so beautiful Jan. Really looking forward to pictures of the FO.
$2 is pretty cheap for a pattern.
And you only have 3 WIP?!
Yes, they will be wood. I told him what I want, but it’ll depend on the color hey come out. I’m not sure what wood he’ll be using yet, but I want round for these.
No I have 3 big WIP! I have 4 other small projects going.
And like I said, I have others already planed. I know it’s only $2, but if I buy it now I’ll start it now, and I definitely don’t need to do that!:teehee:
Oh I see. Understood. I have so many OTN I can’t even count. I really need to frog some and recover the needles instead of buying more needles.
The Ravelry page says you’ll learn a new cast on. Did you? Did you like it?
It wasn’t new to me, but the pattern I had was an early version that just said to cast on so I used long tail. I can see where a provisional CO would be good though so both ends match exactly.
The CO it refers to is provisional, huh? LOL I hoped it was something really different.
Beautiful Jan!
It’s the same crochet cast on from KH. Since it’s a pretty easy, basic pattern I guess it might be new to some knitters.
Jan:
Your cowl looks so much better than the Ravelry photo!
