It’s a ‘Nosey-Sheep’ modified version of a Youtube baby blanket, that I am knitting for Feileacain, an Irish charity.
My pattern so far….(although I have a little piece of note paper tucked into the yarn label, so I can change my mind as I go, and know what I’ve changed, or just make general notes).
CO 121 sts
First 10 rows - seed stitch.
Followed by:
Row 1: seed stitch 10, k101,seed stitch 10
Row 2: seed stitch 10, p101, seed stitch 10
Repeat rows 1& 2 until depth is 20½”, then;
Final 10 rows - seed stitch
That’s the plan anyway- so far, I’m only 9” into it, as of 14th Feb ‘11
If I spend too long on it I get bored with it (is that a shocking & terrible thing to say? ), or I start making silly mistakes…so I just tend to do between 3-5 rows a day on it, with my morning coffee, then I put it away until the next day.

They supply the wool, you supply the knitting skills! They sent me 6 x 100g of white Eurospun Blockbuster Double-Knit yarn (shade 560) :knitting:
All they ask is for a minimum of a 22” x 22” baby blanket in plain white - using any pattern of your choice…and after that you can knit whatever you like for them with the leftover wool: booties, jackets, baby hats etc. and for the non-blanket items, they will send you any colour you request. I believe all the wool is donated to them, through various sources.
Once the blanket is finished…any suggestions for a nice, easy project for a newbie knitter which would be appropriate to knit for them, with the left over wool, would be gratefully received
