WIP: 6-hour throw

This is the patten found on lionbrand. I’m using lionbrand homesput in boston rose, olive, and decco. This is a gift for my boyfriends’ mom.

Here is an updated picture.

That’s looking great! Pretty colors.

I have made this throw too! Isn’t it fun to knit on the big needles? I actually picked out the same colours for my second throw, we must have ESP! Looks great!

There’s actually a story behind those colors. Ever since my boyfriends mom, Jane, was a little girl she wanted a bedroom with green carpet and mauve walls. A few years ago she retired down to Cape May, NJ. At that time she got her dream bed room. I’m making this throw for her to match her room.

I love the colors. What size needles are those?

They’re size 50!

lol, my sister saw the picture and said “At least once she’s finished ski-ing with the sticks she can wrap up warm!” looks great, love the colours

Love the colors! I think she’ll love the throw. I’ve never knit with a needle that size, is it awkward?

It was awkward at first but like anything else I got used to it.

i keep seeing this 6 hour throw i realy want to make one! but i cant get the yarn in the uk-sad- ill go looking or something close 2 do u think that would work? i love the colours not something i would of picked but it looks fab!

You could either order the yarn from there or find yarn in a similar weight.

i could order the yarn but they woulnt send me it no shiping outside the usa grrrr

Wow, I never would have thought those colors would go together, but wow, I really like it a lot. It’s Beautiful. You have to post a picture when the “6 hours” are up. :teehee:

Looks great… I keep thinking I’ll try that afghan… I have the needles already but still haven’t given it a shot… I thought maybe this would be one throw I could finish :teehee:
