Hello Ladies!

I am relatively new to the create your own pattern thing here. I am creating a wedding shawl for my sister. I have to have it completed by first week in August, no problem there…Will this pattern work?

I am using the Bernat Satin - Cream colored; size 8 needles

I would like to do the diamond spiral up the center. I am thinking of starting with 3CO, and then doing 1INC on every row. I was thinking of doing the Stockingette Stitch for 15 rows and then starting the diamond spiral up the center.

What do y’all think? Any suggestions/critisism would be helpful. :thumbsup:

Couple things that might be an issue… Stockinette curls so unless you are planning on doing a border an inch wide or so I wouldn’t do it.

The only other thing I can think of is the needle size… 8’s are fine, but will produce a sweater like fabric. If you want a more open lacy style then you’d have to go up quite a bit.

You might do a swatch to see how it all looks together.
