Will this felt?

I bought the loveliest yarn yesterday at Hobby Lobby on sale for $.99/skein!! It is usually $6.64!:woot:

My question though is, will it felt??? Here is what it is made of:
36% polyamide
11% cotton
35% wool
18% acrylic

I know it doesn’t have to be 100% wool to felt, but is this enough?

I’ve been trying to figure out what to make with that, I really like several of the colors. I think it probably has to be about 50% wool to felt. If you’re thinking of a bag or something, you could make it with smaller needles to tighten up the stitches.

My first inclination is to say no, but how does it say to wash it? Anything machine washable definitely will not felt.

You could make a little swatch and toss it in the washer and dryer and see what happens to it. That’s probably the best way to tell.

Well, I was hoping to make a booga bag with it!! It does say on the yarn wrapper to hand wash, no dryer. So I might be in luck??? :slight_smile: I’ll try a little swatch and see I guess!
