Hello,
I’m planning on knitting a rolled up brim hat. How do I get the rolled up brim to be wider, stick out more from the hat? Is it the size of needles (smaller vs. larger), the thickness of yarn (thicker vs. thinner), the knitting style (tighter/looser)?
Which of those listed would help achieve my goal? Thanks
You’ve got the right ideas. Working with bulky or even super bulky yarn on large needles is going to make the brim fatter. Also letting the brim roll a bit more will make it fatter though you may have to tack it to keep it rolled.
Thank you, Salmonmac! You’re always there with a prompt reply for all of us needing help. Much appreciated.
