Widdle Bitty Sweater for Chi Pup

My next door neighbor has a tiny little chihuahua puppy that is shivering cold all the time. She asked me if I could knit a little sweater for it, but I was having a hard time downsizing doggie sweater patterns that were going to work for the tiny thing.

Then I got the idea to just use a pattern for fingerless mitts, only adding two thumbs instead of one for the arms, and voila! :woot:
Worked like a charm!

Here is little Thumbelina in her new sweater; fits like a “glove”!

So cute!! And great thinking to use a fingerless glove pattern … you did an awesome job!:cheering:

How adorable! The puppy is cute too.

Awwww…how cute! Good idea too!!

Adorable!!! Great Idea!!! Love the color!

Omigosh…that is the cutest little thing! Great idea for a sweater!

Too freakin cute!! What resourcefulness too!!

Being such a tiny little thing, the owner might need to consider having you make a couple in flouresent colors so she can be very easily spotted.

Wow … that is one of the cutest things I’ve seen in a while!! Both Thumbelina and your sweater! Adorable!! What an innovative idea!

OMG this is just about the darndest cutest little thing I’ve ever laid eyes on! So adorable! The sweater is just darling, too!

Oh that’s a good idea! Caron Simply Soft Brites would work well for that.

How precious…love the sweater and fantastic idea using the fingerless glove pattern, you’re smart!

Too cute! She looks so happy in her new sweater! I really like your ‘two thumbs’ idea.

Had to laugh when I read that. What a clever idea. Think of all the wardrobe possibilities for this tiny doggie. She can have a Fetching Sweater, and so many others. Genius. :muah:

It’s so tiny! haha. Great way to advertise your knitting skills and ingenuity, I’d say.

That is so adorable! The sweater fits the pup like a…well, glove! :roflhard: :roflhard:
