I just noticed that when I knit stockinette on circulars, the V’s are on the inside, but when I knit stockinette on dpns, the V’s are on the outside. Why is that? Did I do something with either the dpns or the circs?
Why is my stockinette on the inside?
Yup, you flipped the knitting inside out on the circs. It should look like this - with the points toward you http://www.knitpicks.com/content/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/circular4.jpg and this shows how to fix it www.socknitters.com/lessons/lessons.html
Thank you very much, Sue! I thought I had completely screwed it up for a second. This is my first project on circs. I just got the Denise interchangeables for Christmas, which is very handy for my first time on circs. It wasnt hard to switch cables when I realized I had grabbed the wrong cable length and when the pattern wanted me to do the ribbed edges with a size smaller needle, I just had to switch the tips out. They’re great! But I suppose I should be raving about my needles on another thread now shouldn’t I?
Good links Sue! Thanks from me, too!
