I never thought I needed 16" needles until I finally made a hat in the round and at first did it magic loop. It was too small so I frogged it to begin again and decided to go get some new needles and didn’t want to wait for shipping. I got Crystal Palace size 10 16" needles and LOVE them! First, knitting a hat in the round is awesome! Second, using a small needle is way better for this than ML. Third, I really like the CP needles! Who knew? :woohoo:

Cool. I haven’t tried the CPs, but am currently waiting for some 16" needles to be delivered from KP.
I have the Denise Interchangables. I have a 5 inch, 9 inch, 12 inch, 14 inch, 16 inch and 19 inch and I use them all A LOT! There are also two extenders so that I can make any size I want or need. 16 inch circs are wonderful!! Ive never tried the CPs but I would not be without my Denise.
16" are most excellent for hats. I have them in sizes 8, 10, 11, 13, and 15. With really bulky yarn and the size 15 needles, I can make up a hat in no time. Great for quickie gifts or charity knitting.
