Has to be Emily Saliers from the Indigo Girls. I think the reason I like her is that we have the same range. Her voice is just so clear and open. My older dd and I sing with the IG’s CD’s all the time and we fight over who sings up with Emily and who sings alto with Amy. We both love the upper harmonies.
I grew up listening to and still enjoy country music, but I also LOVE Christian music.
On the country side, right now I would say Josh Turner (can anyone say cute and what a DEEP voice), Brad Paisley (funny songs that hit close to home for many - Online) Trace Adkins (pretty stuck on himself but also funny), Rodney Atkins (Cleaning my Gun) and LeeAnn Rhimes (Nothing Better to Do).
On the Christian side - The Fray, Hawk Nelson, Reliant K, TFK, David Delgado (local artist), Aaron Shust, Family Force 5, Selah, Toby Mac and many more (can you tell I listen to my 13 year old’s music?)
I also like the Eagles and have since high school. Great to see them coming back strong!
