I was reading the post about being Addi snobs and people were talking of ordering from Jeff? Do tell…good prices etc and who is he?

i posted thinking he had the wrong address, but he didn’t after all. He was SUPER nice about the whole thing, by the way, very accommodating. i got them in just over a week a couple days ago. this is SO silly, but i LOVE that there is the cut out gauge checker thingy in the U.K. version! SO CUTE and of course I had to test it out. (It works.) :wink:

I just ordered some Addis from him last night … I must continue to fuel m addiction!!!

I also just received a shipment of Art Yarns from WEBS today. AND bought some self-striping sock yarn at my LYS tonight during a SNB session. I am expecting some yarns and a pattern from another source, too …

I have GOT to chill out and simply make a few things with these yarns before purchasing any more.

Alison, as long as you are currently knitting something (anything) that gives you the right to continue to hoard. One does not need to be caught up on one’s stash to purchase more. One need only be knitting something to prove the need :smiley:

I have a question about Jeff the addi turbo dealer…
I am not sure if I am just being a stupid american, but can someone explain to me how much cheaper he is than a store, because I just looked at the link that was provided above and I noticed that next to his prices it says UK, so that means that his price is almost 2 times the listed price. If I am wrong, please let me know, because I see a price of 9.95 and if that is dollars I am sooooooooo buying whatever sizes I don’t have if that is that is pounds then I am sticking with my stores in NYC. If someone who has bought from him can reply I would appericate it.

the price listed is the price we pay in american funds on his auctions. i haven’t paid more than $10 american WITH shipping for any of the needles i have bought from him that i recall (the 15s may have been more expensive)

I wondered how many of us belong to a yarn/craft coop. The one I just joined on Yahoo has a lot of rules to learn, but they are getting great buys in bulk–often with free shipping for large orders. One person gets a small fee for unpacking and getting each person’s order sent to them. You pay the cost, the shipping and the $1-2 fee each time. I just don’t know yet if it’s a big savings, but I know here at Swap/Sell–, someone mentioned a ball swift for about $28 --that seemed like a good price!! :wink:
