I made this scarf for a friend last month. It is made from one 6oz. skein of Caron Simply Soft in white. It was a very quick knit and I love the feel of the finished item. I used US #10.5 needles and added 8" fringe. It finished at approximately 5"x 60"
This link will take you to my Ravelry listing and if you click on the name Corrugator it will take you to the free pattern.
Very pretty…I too downloaded and actually began…very nice work!!! May I ask a question? I am a little confused, pat reads: sl first st as to purl (with yarn in front)…um the first st the yarn (on my needle anyway) is already in front which makes it kinda awkward to move “yarn” in back to knit the next sts…feels like the “first” st is kinda “dormant”…make sense? Also, I have done maybe 4 rows, and I am not seeing the pattern…am I doing something wrong?..
Make sure the yarn is in front just as if you are going to purl the first stitch.Slip it off purlwise. Then take the yarn to the back between the stitch you just slipped to the right and the one still on the left needle and proceed with the pattern as written. You should start to see the pattern after a few rows. I pull downward slightly on the stitches after each row in worked. Make sure to place a marker of some kind on the RS and clearly mark on you pattern which is the RS row. After you work several rows you will be able to automatically see the difference thus mkaing sure that you are working the correct set of stitches.
I really like the feel of this scarf and it works up quick too. I used one less repeat in mine. I hope my instructions are clearly written. Let me know.
