Which increases?

I’m knitting this scarf, it’s one big chevron. On every wrong side row I am to increase 1 in each side, and do a double decrease in the center. The problem is, that I can’t quite wrap my head around which increases to choose (the pattern doesn’t specify). Should I start with a right leaning increase and end with a left leaning increase, or should it be the other way around?

Thank you so much!

The whole thing should slant toward the double decrease. That’s the top point of your chevron triangle. So working across right to left, the first triangle side (increase) you reach will be leaning left. Then you work through the triangle point/center (double decrease) and the next side (increase) you reach will be leaning right.
