Which increase?

Does it matter which type of increase you use if the pattern doesn’t specify? The pattern only says

[B]BACK: With smaller needles, cast on 76 (80, 86) sts.

Work in ribbing (k 1, p1) for 2 inches. Inc 6 (7, 6) sts evenly across last Row - 82 (87, 92) sts.

I always use an m1 unless the pattern specifies.

I generally use a KLL increase in stockinette because it seems the most invisible to me. The instructions are under increases in the video section.
