Which Cast On Should I Use?

Hi
I don’t think this pattern has any place where it says to do multiple stitches into a single stitch, so the instruction in brackets here is done 10 times but each time you are moving along your round as “normal”.

In the other pattern with the multiple stitches into kne yarn over it states that instruction kn the round instruction. There is instruction in the brackets followed by “all in the next yo”.
Also in that pattern it says something like “repeat from * around” which explains what to do with the rest of the round.

In this pattern it doesn’t give you anything else to do so these instructions should take up all the stitches you have.
I count 26 stitches (although I have been known to ou t incorrectly!) being used here, if you count before this round I’d expect 26 on the needles. It’s a way that I would check if I have enough instruction for the stitches I have.

Hope that helps.
Obviously I have never done these patterns, I’m just offering an extra pair of eyes on the pattern.

No, not into a single stitch. Work the first YO, K1, then repeat the directions in parentheses 10 times along the round. That’s repeats of YO, K2tog, YO, K2tog, etc. up until the final YO, sl1, k1, psso,k3.

Thank you!!
