Last summer I worked on a sweater for a niece. It was all knit up on straight needles and the pieces were sewn together in the end.
I had a really hard time getting the seams on the sleeves to look good. It was all knitted in ribbing (k2p1) and the increases were placed one stitch away from the edges. My increases did not look good as I couldn’t properly figure out how to match them to the ribbing pattern. Seaming it all up was difficult.
Now, I’m working on a baby sweater in stockinette and the pattern calls for increases one stitch from the edge. Do you think seaming will be easier this time as the increases (hopefully) will look better in stockinette? Or should I move the increases in another stitch to have more of an edge to the sleeve for the seam?
Or would knitting them up on DPNS make it all easier??
Confused!!! :??
