I am knitting the Knit Sleeper Sack (burial gown for preemies)
by Debbie Cowherd on Raverlry. I have done the small and medium size with no problems. But for the large size I am stuck on where to divide the neck line. This is top down. For the small and medium sizes it has you cast on 27 stitches. Then do a couple of rows of K1 P1 ribbing Then on the third row you place markers at 6 stitches, 4 stitches, 7 stitches, and 4 stitches with 6 stitches remaining. On the large size you cast on 34 stitches. But it doesn’t say where to place the markers. Could someone please tell me where do I place the markers?
Is this your pattern? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sleeper-sack-burial-gown-for-preemies
Yes that is the pattern.
There are other ways to do this but I’d probably go with a decrease of one stitch across the row to 33sts.
So divide sts with markers into 7-5-10-5-7 and on the first row of stockinette decrease the 10sts to 9. If you think the proportions will work with 10 sts on the back, then you could continue without the decrease.
Thanks for your help. I will give it a try.
