It’s a little strange going from posting everyday to only posting once and a while…and I’m unsure if I can even keep up with that, though I will definately try!
After my little trip to Houston over the holidays, my computer battery just went out on me, and concidering my computer is a laptop, that’s like…the death of all deaths for a computer. Seeing how Apple discontinued making the batteries for my particular computer, I went on a search for a new one, thinking it wouldn’t be so bad, and so I found one for $149, which really isn’t bad concidering Apple. So I’m excited about getting my computer fixed, I plugged it in and turned it on, and as I adjust my screen…CRRRRACK! One of the hinges of my screen outright broke. Which means I would need to get the whole screen replaced eventually. It came to me as I was sitting there, my knitting by one side, the pliers used to open and close my screen on the other, did I decide that I was better off getting a whole new laptop.
But we all know what that means:
I needed a job.
So THAT’S where I’ve been! Taking alot of time out of my knitting and other activity time, but I went to a temp agency, and am currently working for Compass Bank.
I cannot wait for my first paycheck this Friday, as I found the most softest fuzzy yarn(Lionbrand Tiffany) at Hancocks today on my way home, and must return for more when I have money(I payed using a gift certificate from Christmas.). That, and when I have money(of course, saving for other things, such as fixing my car and a new computer), I’ll be able to splurge more at the LYS, which, fortunately(unfortunately for my wallet. XD) is right on the way to and from my work.
I miss being able to read the topics and chat with all of you guys everyday. You all have a tendency to be able to put a smile on my face. It’s just something I’m going to have to look forward to whenever I can.
