Where do you get free patterns

I went on knitting pattern central and found a sweater I liked but it is not working out for me so where else can I find a sweater pattern?

Knitty’s a pretty good free knitting magazine. They have articles about techniques and junk, too.

also magknits.com

There are a ton of other patterns on KPC so don’t give up just because you don’t like one pattern.

Knitting Pattern Central - Women’s Clothing

If you are looking for easy patterns look for the words easy, simple, seamless, and raglan. You can do a search on KPC, too.

go to Google.com and type in free Sweater knit pattern… estimate it will take you weeks or months to go thru them

thanks, I will give them all a try.

Don’t give up on KPC. They do have some cute stuff, but sometimes you have to dig.

Another idea is to grab books from your library. Like the Hourglass sweater in Last Minute Knitted Gifts is cute.

Here are some more free patterns

This one is popular and free!

http://www.vam.ac.uk/images/image/13017-popup.html This is something like the sweater I would like to make. fitted and simple.I don’t like the way the v neck is finished so can I change it somehow? It is hard to tell by the picture if it is a regular ribbed collar. Again. it calls for fingering 3-ply but mine is 25sts=4" and 35 rows. So it is not the same is it? the pattern says 28sts=4" and 44 rows mine is 25sts=4" and 35 rows. So that means if I make this pattern it will end up bigger, right? it does not look like there are different sizes to make just one. Has anyone made an old sweater? Is there a problem with the patterns? What does it mean width all round wider the arms, 35 inches Is the pattern just a little twist all over? Anyway something like this where it is fitted and some texture to it is what I am looking for.
