I could use some help with the pattern for Drops 0-1537 Bunny Steps. The pattern

says the stitch marked with the arrow in a1 should be placed before my marker on top of foot, count to where the round should start.

My round starts in the middle of the heel - do I knit in my main colour to where the top of foot marker is and then start the pattern a1 row 2? Or do I count backwards from the middle of foot marker back to my beginning of row to work out which stitches are which colour? I’ve already knitted row 1 as that was all main colour so I just knitted a whole round (to the middle of heel marker)

You’re going to work pattern A1 from the beginning of the round marker but you want to make sure that the stitch marked with the arrow is on the middle of the foot (the instep). To do that, count backwards from the middle of the foot marker to the beginning of round marker in order to figure out where to begin the A1 chart pattern. (That was your second thought.)
