Hi
Probably simple but I can’t figure it out. Im k itting a 60" scarf. It says to start binding off when length is reached.
Wouldn’t that take me way over 60 inches?
TIA
What is the name of your pattern and designer?
It’s not clear to me why the bind off would appreciably extend the scarf length. Are you decreasing on one edge and increasing on the other?
Im not following a pattern. I started by increasing in the beginning until width was reached. Im now working the body and I do k1f 1st stitch and last stitch k2 together. I don’t know when to start decreasing for a 60" length. It isn’t like normal garter and you just decrease when you need to and it is one row.
What i have is one much longer side than the other and assuming it will even out with decrease. Which is knit to last 2 sts and k2 together.
You could look at the length from the cast on until you reached the width you wanted. That measurement will approximate the extra length once you begin the decreases. Repeat that length by decreasing at the same rate as the increase.
Yes. Thank you.
That makes sense.
Appreciate it!
