What's your favorite yarn?

Forgive me if this thread already exists. I searched but didn’t turn it up.

I’d love to hear about your favorite yarns to work with.

I adore Noro Silk Garden in color 87 because it is softer than Kureyon but has such a fabulous colorway. I’m currently doing an entrelac hat in it.

Plymouth Baby Alpaca Grande is scrumptiously soft and warm. It makes a perfect scarf since it is somewhat expensive at about $12 a skein.

My final favorite is Gedifra Fashion Trend and especially Fashion Trend Stripe. I find Fashion Trend to be a bit softer than the Stripe but the stripe has great colorways.

Malabrigo by far! and in the inexpensive category i like Lamb’s Pride.

Yes, Malabrigo is amazing to knit with! Also I really like the KP Sock Landscape. I don’t think I’d actually make socks out of it since it’s not machine washable, but I made some gloves and they’re really light-weight but very warm.

Make that 3 votes for Malabrigo, my new favorite yarn. I am obsessed with it.

Does malabrigo pill much? Because the twist reminds me of other yarns I’ve had bad experiences with.

I like noro kureyon, and this yarn called ‘Marble’. I’ve only seen it at AC Moore. Those are my top two favs.

someone asked this on the for sale thread too and i hafta say that i haven’t seen much if any. I have a pair of baby booties at the bottom of my knitting bag that have been there waiting to be seamed together for around 3 months…with all the stuff in and out of there and being knocked around, they don’t show any signs of pilling that i can see. will it pill? no idea but i would think if it is going to, it would definitely do so under those conditions!

I wash my socks in the shower. I use a little conditioning shampoo (I mean it is hair, right? ) rinse well and hang them over the towel bar to dry. So go ahead and use that landscape for socks! You will love yourself for it.

I have no idea what my favorite yarn is. It’s just the kind that is soft and flows easily and feels good in your hands. The yarn you could knit with all day just to keep feeling it. I’ve met a lot of those in my life.

My absolutely favorite yarn is Debbie Bliss cashmerino!! So soft and nice to work with, just slippery enough to be easy to slide.

The yarn that I like the best {so far} is Patons Grace. It’s soft, shimmery and was a pleasure to crochet with. I haven’t knit anything with it yet, but I would expect the same results.

After I have a taste of them all, I’ll let you know.

Do you wash the socks while you’re wearing them? :??

My favorite of course is MANOS :cheering: MANOS :XX: MANOS :cheering:

:rofling: :rofling:

I’m with Ingrid, it’s really hard to pick a true favorite. But right now I’m hooked on Plymouth Yarns baby alpaca, Debbie Bliss alpaca silk, and Classic Elite Miracle. D’you think I like alpaca?

I love all yarn!!! As long as I can knit I don’t care :XY:

A good diplomatic, yet honest response:

My favorite yarn is whichever I am working with at the moment!!!
