What's the best way to change skein on a lace pattern?

Hi everyone,

Still working on my lace all-over cardigan Ninon by Yarnflakes. I’m not there quite yet, but I’m almost finished knitting from my first skein. I know there’s a bunch of different methods to change skeins during a project, but what would you recommend for a lace all-over pattern? I don’t know if that matters at all, but every wrong row is almost all purls (a few knit stitches here and there but no yo or diminutions).

I try to change yarn in lace either at a side seam if there’s one available or in an area of stockinette. Your scallops of stockinette would work. You can either drop the old and work the next stitch in the new skein or overlap the two for a stitch. If you don’t overlap, be sure to cross the yarn tails on the wrong side to avoid a hole.
This is going to be such a pretty sweater!

Thank you, that sounds like a good plan! I think the first and last stitches of each row are meant to be used for seaming. I’ll check the pattern. If not, stockinette it is!
