I’m glad they admitted the mistake. I am a test knitter for Yarnspirations. Usually a mistake is caught by us before the pattern is put out to the public. I can tell you that if I was the test knitter on the project, I would have found the error immediately. I’m glad you’re back on track.
Congratulations! I do that a lot in many areas but eventually I dig in and get going. Our brains work things out while we’re doing other things. I looked up the yarn. It’s very pretty!

Thank you for your response! I did realize that something was amiss, but didn’t trust my forever wavering knitting judgment. At least I can continue and finally get this finished.
I love this so much. Perfect in every way. And, yes, love the photo bomb too!
Thank you so much! ![]()
What a gorgeous layette! Each piece is such fun to see and so nicely worked. Congratulations to you and your family.
Ohh how exciting!
Lovely knitting too.
Adore the sleep sack (I think that’s what others call them?), that’s so cute! Your grandson is going to be one cosy baby, that’s for sure!
So many lovely projects!
It’s a soggy mid-spring here, floods and all in my state, so not the time of year for winter knits, sadly. I’m doing a repeat of Sarah Hatton’s Crowden pattern (can be found on the Rowan website or Ravelry). I made it last winter in Heirloom Merino Fleck and now I’m doing it in Patons Sierra. It should be a bit lighter weight because I’m not doing cables on the back.
I have finished my first jumper. I am so proud and happy ![]()

I went back and corrected nearly every mistake and it’s just a great feeling!
It looks so neat, well done!
It’s very well done and shows every bit of care and attention to detail. Enjoy giving it as a lovely gift or keeping it for yourself.
@Calecat, beautifully knit cables!
Very impressive especially for first one.
Finished
And the back
It’s obviously not the same as the original pattern.
I had a lot of firsts in this project: converted flat pattern to in the round, added applied boarder at the bottom, changed the size (ignored increases), moved the neck line lower, longer straps, longer torso, 3 needle bind off…
It’s too big.
I always make things the wrong size!
I measure myself, I swatch, but still I’m wrong.
I began with the second size and then ommited the increases and switched to the first size, but I should have started with the first size and still omitted the increases for a better fit.
I used stylecraft recreate which is 100% recycled, mix of wool and acrylic. It takes a bit of getting used to when knitting as it feels a bit rough but I knew it would soften with a steam as I’ve used it before.
The colours I ordered were not as nice as I hoped (there is a yellow I left out completely as it doesn’t look nice with these colours).
Oh well. It can be a warm under layer with a baggy sweater on top for winter.
Absolutely lovely! The pattern stitches and attention to detail are very well done, Creations.
Thank you, you’re very kind.
Is it still October??
Can’t believe this, but I’ve finished the “problem” sweater.
I had to put it aside while I adjusted to the idea of ripping out soooooo many rows and all the pretty double layer picot edging from the hem. But then I did it, replaced with a very plain band of stockinette and rib. And it’s so much better.
Not yet blocked but wanted to share before washing incase the whole thing ruins in the wash!
Worth every minute of thought and work. The finished sweater now draws attention to the highlight of the stranded work. Very beautifully done!
