Something grand but maybe not this grand:

Finally started the Geology shawl, by very busy monkey. It’s been on my list forever. Comments on Ravelry indicate that it works up small in the suggested fingering yarn so I got a nice DK from a local dyer… Viking Fiber Co. The color is Freya’s Cloak. Size 8 needles, so I hope it comes out a nice size!

I am working on a pair of gloves in the color Rhasody from Knit Picks as a Christmas goft for my daughter. I have the first glove almost finishe then I have to wait till my order from KnitPicks comes in to start the other. I only had one ball of yarn to start the gloves.

I do wonder how that jumper was knitted… either a really long knitting machine or about 20 circular needles :joy:

Or are the knitters seaming experts? Good question, inquiring minds and so forth.

Didn’t think of that - but several sections, and thus, seams, would give added structure and strength. So while they might not wear the jumper as a group again, they would at least make it fully clothed to the pub later!
On topic - I am still plugging away at making unicorns (and reminding people that ask if they’re “donkeys,” which seems to be most of the blokes who spot me at work, that I have needles, so don’t cross me lol); the guy who owns the restaurant where I live wants to buy some for his grandchildren. I started another last night, using King Cole Glitz in Halloween (a really fun black and orange yarn with short repeats. I bought a couple of “mystery yarn” boxes from a LYS and found a sort of matching chunky tinsel yarn inside one - the orange is a little more on the yellow side, but it’s close enough to still look good as the mane/tail).
I’m considering making a pikachu version of my beckoning cat pattern as an Easter gift for someone else, too, with a Pokéball coloured kimono.

I’ve finished this (actually last day of Feb)

I’ll post a picture once it’s finished blocking. I really like the neons and will use them again.

I am glad you asked! And your timing couldn’t be more perfect! I just accomplished my first attempt at doing an invisible bind off on a 2x2 rib collar! I watched the video about 5 times, knitted up a 2x2 rib swatch, tried it there while watching the video, then watched it one more time to be sure I got it and then I did it! I really like it better than just doing a 2x2 rib bind off… One more thing to add to my repertoire!

They’re the knit pro rainbow blockers, they make life so much easier.

I’ve got some, but also use blocking wires for shawls, so I don’t have to use so many pins/blockers!

Great knitting and lovely bind off. I like how it looks like a folded edge. I have seen this bind off but never used it myself yet.

They sure do. With those and blocking wires many things are easier. I’ve got two shawls that will require both waiting to be blocked.

A pineapple top.

Some of you may remember I began a crochet pineapple about a year ago. Mister (my son) had asked for it and I had some yellow yarn I didn’t like so thought it would be a good use for it.
Well… it was slow going and put aside once the main body of the fruit was done as I had no stuffing. Then I spent an age crocheting leaves which were terrible and put us both off the project and it was put aside again… and then I ordered some yarn which should have been to remake a neck on Mister’s sweater which was too wide for his comfort and foolish me I ordered the wrong green! I couldn’t reknit the neck!
So, with a ball of ‘the wrong green’ the pineapple was resurected and I set about making some new leaves. Much more successful. I finished sewing them together yesterday.

Turned out better than I expected.
