@Shintoga
I did a lot of research about stranded knitting and knitted a practice project before I got to the yoke.
The best tip I found was to spread out the stitches on the right hand needle then the float won’t be too tight.

The test knit I was in has now been published. So I can now share my project with you. Here it is https://www.ravelry.com/projects/SheenaStoneKnits/daboecia
The yarn I used was so soft and it’s really light and floaty.
Ooh, pretty!
Great color. Gorgeous.

I picked up the Adventure in Waiting again but I can’t get into it. The texture is lovely, but because it’s just knits and purls it’s too easy to put down. I’m a little bored and I can’t lose myself in it.
So I wound a couple of the skeins of Martin’s Lab I got for Christmas and I’ve started this Ravelry: Into the Echo pattern by Cheryl Faust
I’m already totally engaged in it.
I’m using these
That’s going to be stunning!
Stunning pattern and very pretty colors. Leave the knits and purls for social knitting and take on this one for more fun.
Ooh, that’s going to be lovely in those colours, they are yummy.
Love this. So bright and colorful. Well done.
Thank you so much
I’m still bracing myself for the finishing touches ![]()
I’m trying to knit a bunch of socks for me and my husband this year. So far I’ve made myself on pair using Mondim yarn. We like 100% wool socks and this is tightly spun so it may be good for this. So far I’ve worn the ones I made several days, mostly inside in wool slippers but also outside in wellies and they’ve head up fine. It’s only been about 5 days though. We shall see in a month.
My husband has several pairs I’ve knit him over the years still. He’s not as rough on his as I am. I bought some wool socks la for myself but o prefer the ones I make.
I usually make gifts for my grandchildren and kind of neglect us, but I’d like to fill our drawers and closets full of hand knits this year. I’m also weaving so that takes up some of my knitting time.
Not heard of Mondim yarn before, but it looks great. Love your idea to make socks for yourselves.
I got it from The Woolly Thistle and it’s Portuguese yarn.
So well done! Not a pucker to be seen. It’s a standout.
@salmonmac @GrumpyGramma Thank you. I worked really hard to be sure my floats were not short. Very pleased with the results.
Your colorwork is magnificent!
Very neat. Lovely work.
