August, already, so soon. The year is flying by. How about your knitting and crochet? What have you finished recently and what is on your needles or hooks? Any future projects in mind? Hope that some hidden UFOs (unfinished objects) are in your plans too.

Making progress on the Wonky Starfish. I’m recovering from foot surgery so can’t spread it out, but I’ve been having fun with Scheepjes Whirls, playing with color. I think Stephen would approve!
Looking great. The colour combinations also make it look very detailed and intricate.
Wishing you a speedy recovery after your surgery!
Thank you.
I started this about 10 days back from a frogged sweater little mister had grown out of. Now a bigger, even stripier version.
I made a small error in calculating the additional yarn needed and only bought 1 new ball to add to the frogged yarn and some I had left over from his previous sweater. I was almost right… but also totally wrong! I calculated for the weight and meters needed for the sweater and sleeves but totally forgot I was putting the rib hem and cuffs on afterwards. I have only enough for the neck and need to buy one more ball for the ribbing. It’s frustrating just because I like to buy yarn in a big enough quantity to get free shipping rather than a single ball and I have no idea what other yarn to buy.
I need, desperately, to knit many dishcloths as my kitchen cotton stash is burgeoning!
Well, wow! That is beyond gorgeous.
Stunning! Looks like it took a huge amount of work and worth every moment of it.
I ordered the pattern! Gonna grab some nice chunky yarn… I like this soft grey colour! Great knitting for when I’m on vacation! Hopefully I can get the yarn in time! . Thanks for sharing!
Well done! What pattern did you use?
I purchased it on Etsy from TheHatandI.
I’m sure if you look at their site on Etsy you’ll see it there and some other cute crochet patterns.
Thanks!

I learned when joining not to do each hexagon individually as when I was finishing some were coming apart. Someone I know who crochets suggested joining across and then up and down. This worked much better and held up after being washed.
Thank for your help earlier in my posts.
I’m working on a wedding gift for my granddaughter. They’ve not set a date yet but Gramma wants to be prepared. I love that girl to pieces.
Knit Picks Brava worsted yarn

Beautiful! Wow, that’s a big project and I imagine it needs a lot of concentration. Stunning.
