Typical change of seasons weather, some days cozy knitting or crocheting indoors, some days perfect to take projects outside,
What projects have caught your eye and are featuring in your current knitting or crochet items, or in future plans?
No, sadly this wasn’t taken in my backyard!
Whatcha' Knitting, April 2022?
Just finished this Anny Blatt sweater for a little girl who will be celebrating her first birthday next week, used KnitPicks yarn ‘Dogwood Heather’
Notknittingknots, keep those squares coming. The illusion knitting a lovely.
Janec1128, beautiful sweater which will delight any little girl and her family.
Thanks for asking. Since the pandemic, we have suspended our knitting group and I have little opportunity to share.
I’m working on the Asti Spumante Tee. It’s worked in the round and I just divided to work front and front on sleeves.
My next project is Portage. The yarn arrived yesterday, color Hello Gorgeous.
The Asti Spumante is a treat to see. Very pretty.
I love the aptly named Hello Gorgeous. That’s going to make a lovely cardigan.
Learning how to knit socks, and this is my second pair. I was gifted the yarn Christmas 2020. Fraternal socks!
Thoughtful gift and beautiful result! Happily, they can be addictive. Are these toe up or cuff down socks?
They are cuff down. I found the pattern on Ravelry, “Really Easy Socks” by Lynne Hazell. It is for 9" circulars, and I really like working with them.
Well worth every minute. The sweater is gorgeous! What yarn did you use? It’s scrumptious.
Thank you for alerting the company to the pattern problems. Let’s hope they are responsive.
Thank you. I used James C Brett Marble chunky. Burda customer service was very helpful with their information I was able to complete the sweater.
A couple more illusion knit squares finished, not too many more left to do now yay!!
edited to add the last one of this trio just completed
I love the illusion knitting pattern you’ve worked. It’s going to be a lovely panel in the blanket.
Beautiful sweater and I love the yarn colour, it’s so earthy and warm, fantastic for fall! Going to add that yarn to my wish list now!
Thank you
Ooh, lovely photo! I have done a little beginner dyeing lately.
I am planning to try out this method for creating a semi-solid look:
Some of the dyer’s yarns:
I will be very happy if I can achieve something approaching this lovely effect.
Do you do any dyeing, @salmonmac?
I’ve tried it and it is so much fun. You can start with an idea and colors in mind or you can just play with the colors. In my case I had no idea ahead of time, the result was surprising and the yarn worked up in yet another unpredicted way. Of course I had a wonderful teacher and guide for the process.
It may be just as addictive as knitting!
They look perfectly lovely, soft and light. Very well done!
