What to do on WS of 1x1 ribbing

I am trying to make a scarf in a 1x1 ribbing, and the pattern calls for an even number of stitches. The last stitch of a row is a purl, so when I turn the piece do I then purl 1, knit 1 or knit1, purl 1 etc.?

I think you will K1 P1 across. Am I right Ingrid?? :??

If you end with a purl, start with a knit and vice versa.
