Hi guys!! My name is Kayleigh, and I’m working on this blanket for my best friend! I’m not very good at knitting so it’s pretty simple, but I was just wondering if you guys had any advice on how to spice it up (once it’s finished)? It’s a coral color, her favorite, and I can do embroidery and crochet. I wasn’t sure about embroidery because then there would be that “ugly side” which I’m not fond of. Any suggestions and constructive criticism would be very welcome!!! Thank you so much :—)

If you’re any good at sewing, to hide the back side after embroidering I’d put a lightweight backing on, maybe a thin fleece or cotton type material? I’m sure your friend will love it however it turns out!
Crochet fan stitch could be added for a scalloped edging. Maybe add picots between or in the middle of each fan sts?
