Here’s a shocker … I drive a minivan. 2004 Honda odyssey. Despite my never wanting one, I actually love it’s practicality.
I wish, however, I only needed my Trek. And the GoBug that goes iwth it.:teehee:

A 2000 Chevy Venture mini van, in gold. Everyone and their cousin has one. But it’s so comfy and dependable!
Misty
My mom has the Oldsmobile version of this van.
It’s the same exact van, with a different logo. Yes, everyone DOES have this car. :teehee:
She’s actually had a lot of trouble with it, and it’s one of the cars that is making her swear off American cars.
I’m agree, but sadly, many cities do not have adequate public transportation. As I said, my car is a Honda Accord, but our next one will mostly likely be a hybrid or whatever the next generation of environmentally responsible car is. ![]()
ETA…we have not owned American cars for over 10 yrs. I need reliability.
A 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo, with 164,000 miles on it! I just got a new engine, and the body itself is in great shape considering the snow and salt here in Vermont. I love my Volvo!
2006 subaru forester-- aspen white, have had it a year as of last week and have put 32,000 miles on. I love it!!! I totaled my Jimmy and thought I would go back into a midsized SUV… but bought this instead. yay!

Sh-h, don’t tell anybody but I drive a 2005 Toyota Camry. People in Michigan hate it when you buy a foreign car. There’s lots of ugly bumper stickers around. But my Camrys have been reliable and well built. I loved every one of them. And I get good mileage.
a 2004 VW Golf R32 (my 407 hp yarn basket :D!) is my main car, but since CV broke his ankle I’ve also been driving his 2001 Audi S4.
I drive a silver 2006 Pontiac G6, but we also have a 2005 Chevy Colorado (DH drives that). I hate driving the truck compared to my car. My car has get-up-and go…his truck justs says “you want me to do what?” when you hit the gas…yup…I love my car:)
My BF just bought a 2007 VW GTI. As soon as my leg is strong enough, he’s going to have to fight me for it.
My mother drives a Pontiac G6, my dad, a Chevy pickup. My aunt drives a Mercury Sable LS, and my first car (certain) is going to be a Chevy Trailblazer.
2004 VW Jetta Wagon - TDI - (Turbo Diesel engine), which I know is not environmentally friendly, but when I can get 45 mpg from something that is environmentally friendly that you can still transport 2x4s in (yes, we’ve done that with the Jetta), I’ll switch!!
I would rather be driving a New Beetle!
You could rig it up to use biodiesel.
Stiney - actually, there is no rigging involved. I think it came biodiesel ready. Unfortunately BioD is not available in my area
Maybe soon.
Don’t know why you think it’s not environmentally friendly?!?!?!
They have lower emissions, and MUCH higher fuel mileage, and most places the diesel prices are cheaper than the gas! Plus you can get biodiesel too! ![]()
The age of diesels being slower, smellier, louder and all that is definitely coming to an end. :happydance:
Be careful what kind of bio-diesel you put in it, some work just fine, while others require modifications. I don’t know which is which, the SO generally buys the bio-diesel.
We have a 2004 Golf TDI Hatchback. Drove it clear across the country from NJ to WA at the beginning of the summer, pulled the back seats out and had it loaded to the gills. Averaged 48 mpg and generally drove 75-80 mph on the freeways. Gotta love 'em! :happydancing:
LL
I love Camry’s! We’re from MN…my dh will only buy GM cars, it sucks.
2007 Smart Fourtwo Brabus. Its got emissions of 117 which is low and its a GREAT about town car =D I
it
Ford Escape…my least favorite vehicle that I’ve ever owned, although it gets great gas mileage.
Our previous vehicle was a Durango…my all-time favorite. We had it all fixed up for our soccer trips, but when gas prices went sky high, we got the Escape.
Hm…I was just under the impression that the diesel engine wasn’t green - you make me feel a lot better!! We are driving a little Mitsubishi sedan today as our car had to have some work done. (We carpool together) - Oooh, hubby sure missed his turbo!! We really do like the Jetta - I just have a fondness for the Beetle and wish I had a TDI!:pout:
I’ve got a 96 Jeep Cherokee Sport that I LOVE. Still, it loves gas so eventually I’d like to go for a hybrid SUV.
