I’d like to start knitting socks from the toe-up.
Anyone know what would be the best toe-up knitting book to buy for beginners?
I think once I get a good idea of how it works I can move on to more complicated patterns. Just not sure how to start out :think:

I have the secondly named one of those and I am very happy with it. It has an introduction part that tells all the technique. Then it has 3 base models with the 3 heel-types and (I think) differnet toe tips.
It also has a bunch of actual patterns with lace, cable and such. But the 3 basics get you right down.
I got the book for my birthday and made the sock with roses and hearts. I will make more of those socks. And I have just whipped up baby socks toe up with a different heel type for practice
I do not have any other toe-up books, but I am happy with the instructions I get there. 
I’ve heard a lot of people like Melissa Morgan-Oakes’ bookson knitting toe-up socks. I haven’t tried it yet, but this is the book I plan to get when I get around to trying toe-up socks!
I agree with Hyperactive’s approach of baby socks as practice. They have all the elements of an adult sock with only a fraction of the stitches.
