What is " no stitch"

I am going to attempt the Voyager Lace stole and whilst reading the chart, I come across "no stitch"
What is meant by this and how do I do this?

The no stitch you just don’t do anything with it. I forget why they do that but ya just act if it wasn’t there.

thanks I googled and found that it means just that, do nothing :slight_smile:

They put it into charts to keep them square. With all the incs and decs in lace it sometimes changes the stitch count making it hard to show otherwise.
