What is going on with this sweater?

I’m making the Mininmalist Cardigan from the Fall 2007 Interweave Knits. The whole thing is pretty much done in moss stitch. Row 1 K1 P1, K1 to end
Row 2 P1 * K1, P1* to end
Row 3 Reapeat row 2
Row 4 Repeat row 1

I thought things were going well, but it appears the sweater is going “on the bias?” ie It appears to have a diagonal pull to it. What’s this about? Is it my gauge? Will it come out in blocking?

I love this sweater and tons of people are making it on Ravelry, but I don’t see any mention of this problem. Please help!

A picture might help us see what’s going on.

Moss stitch can create an optical illusion, you sure you’re not just seeing something that isn’t really there?

Some yarns will bias due to how they’re twisted when they’re spun and that can cause a piece of knitting to bias also. This article may help http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall05/FEATwhyply.html

I guess I could post a picture, but you can see that it really is going diagonally. As for the ply of the yarn, I don’t know, it’s Cascade Sierra, and I’ve used it many times before and have never experienced this. Perhaps a combination of yarn and pattern?
I’m not sure if I should scrap the project or not. Getting very frustrated.

Could be the st pattern then, because Cascade shouldn’t have that problem. Are you twisting anysts by knitting through the back loop, or wrapping the purl the opposite way?

Maybe yer glasses are just on crooked.

Went back on Ravelry and searched some different areas and found that in fact several people have had this problem, but it blocks out.
I’m hopeful that mine will do the same.

Mason, as for the glasses, they are ALWAYS crooked!
