What is double knitting weight yarn? - Baby Afghan

I found this book with Evelyn Clark’s patterns for Baby Afghans…

It says to use “double knitting weight yarn”, which one is that? Where do I find if one yarn is that type? :thinking:

most people just call it DK weight…just a lighter weight yarn

here is a link on yarndex to many DK weight yarns. baby afghan…something soft and washable is the best i can tell ya.
