I am finishing a pair of felted slippers and need to sew the bottom together using an overcast stitch. I saw the link on this site, but it doesn’t really give a clear explanation of how to stitch 2 pieces together. Could someone explain this stitch?
What is an overcast stitch?
The only overcast stictch I’m aware of: is sewing.
In that case you would put the sewing needle through both pieces always in the same direction for every stitch.
Ummmmmm, top to bottom, top to bottom, top to bottom, etc. OR
Bottom to top, which ever works easier for you.
Spacing of the sitches depends on the thinkness of your fabric, in your case, slippers.
