What does this mean?!

I’ve been doing a great job on this hat I’m making, but I’m stuck in the pattern. This is what is says:

Proceed as follows:
Round 1: k1, m1, k15 (18), sl1, k2tog tbl, psso, k20 (24), kfb, kfb, k9 (11), sl1, k2tog tbl, psso, k9 (11), kfb, kfb, k20 (24), sl1, k2tog tbl, psso, k15 (18), m1, k1
Round 2: Knit all stitches
Repeat these two rounds 5 (6) more times, ending with a Round 2.

Proceed as follows:
Round A: Continue to work as in Round 1, but work only the sl1, k2tog tbl, psso decreases, NOT the m1 or kfb increases! Thus far with each round your knitting retained the same amount of stitches, from now on you will actually decrease! I haven’t charted this row by row, but hope this explanation will suffice.
Round B: Knit all stitches
Repeat rounds A and B until 7 stitches remain, ending with a Round A. Break the yarn leaving a 6" tail & using a yarn darner, thread through remaining stitches.

I’m at Round A. Now, do I just keep the same number of knit stitches while skipping the kfb and m1? Won’t I run out of stitches before I finish with the round? Help!!!

The dec round only loses 4 sts so you won’t run out until you’ve done several dec rounds. This sounds like it’s for the top shaping and you want to lose some stitches.

I get that I’ll lose stitches, but the next time that I go around and do Round A, I won’t have enough stitches to complete the round, will I? Where/how do I lose these?

I see what you’re asking, and I misread the pattern, you’re actually decreasing 6 sts each time… The next time, you should make the decs right above the dec you made before. No you won’t be able knit as many sts between the decs, that number will be decreased every time you go around. She shouldn’t have been so vague in the directions, it’s very confusing.
