What does this mean please?

Hi

I would love to knit this shawl
http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall09/PATTcolonnade.php

although with all the questions I’m asking perhaps I should rethink

Please can someone explain “working [k1, p1] into each yo2”?
Row 2 [WS]: K2, p to last 2 sts, working [k1, p1] into each yo2, k2.

Thanks!!!
Sandra

On a previous row you did YO2 - a double YO, which puts 2 sts on the needle. When you get to it on the next row, you knit into the first loop like a regular stitch, then purl into the 2nd loop.

Keep asking questions - how else are you going learn…

Thanks so much! That makes perfect sense.
Happy New Year!
